DUA PAY IN ACTION!

DigitALL: Helping women entrepreneurs reach new customers in Fiji 🇫🇯

On International Women’s Day #IWD2023, BPP is proud to support businesses developing innovative technology to improve the lives of women and girls in Asia and the Pacific.

In Fiji, a BPP partnership with Fintech Pacific, ygap Pacific Islands, Mastercard and the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is working to bridge the gap for small business owners who have been missing out on sales due to a lack of cashless payment options. The solution? A locally-led payment app, Dua, designed to meet the specific needs of women small business owners.

The new technology is now being piloted by a handful of market vendors, including BLISS FIJI Candle Maker and Marama Niu (pictured), with training and onboarding sessions held in late-2022. The pilot is expected to expand to over 400 women entrepreneurs in the next 2 years.
